Marlon tells Donna that she didn't mention the fact that she will be up for maternity leave in a few months time. Donna tells him not to be stupid. Marlon asks Donna if she knows the time of the impregnation, will it be this week, month or did Viv have a star sign in mind. Donna tells Marlon that impregnation sounds really clinical. Marlon tells her that it has to as she is the receptacle for Viv and Bob's creation. Marlon tells Donna that if Bob thinks he is going to be at the birth then he'd better think again. Donna says to Marlon that you forget how much if hurts when you're holding the baby but they don't tell you how to give it away. Marlon asks her what if she can't and she is stuck with her step father's baby. He tells Donna that he is trying to see the positives, he really is, but every time he is struck with the whole grim of it all. Paddy comes in and asks Marlon if last nights stew was that bad. Marlon asks Donna if she thinks that they should tell Paddy. Paddy asks them if they have not found out that their house was built on a plague pit, but Donna tells him that it is more about the deposit. Paddy asks them if they have borrowed it from Viv. Marlon says that suppose he told Paddy that Donna had agreed to an equivalent to the deposit, to bear her mother and Bob's child. Paddy says to Donna, Viv's baby, he tells her that she couldn't make it up could she, he looks at Donna and says to Marlon that she isn't making it up is she.

In Mulberry Cottage Jasmine is preparing some breakfast as Sandy sits at the table and Ashley tries to get through to Laurel on the phone, he hangs up and tells them that it has gone onto answer phone again. Gabby is pulling at Ashley's leg and he snappily tells her to stop. Jasmine sits at the table and suggests that maybe Laurel is asleep, Ashley comments that she's more likely to be not taking his calls, Ashley sarcastically thanks her for her concern. Sandy, without looking up from his paper, suggests that he leave her a message but Ashley moodily takes Gabby into the room suggesting they watch a video. Jasmine tells Ashley that her grandpa is right, at least that way Laurel will know that he has phoned. Ashley turns to her and snaps, asking her what she would know about anything in light of recent events. Jasmine is visibly shocked by Ashley's words and tone and drops her toast onto her plate, she tells them that she is going to her room and gets up to leave. Sandy has looked up from his paper, also shocked by Ashley's tone, he tells him that was harsh and Ashley tells him that maybe it was meant to be. After a pause, Sandy gets up from the table and announces it is time for his ablutions, he approaches Ashley and asks him to try and be a little kinder. Ashley doesn't look at his father who continues to asks who they are to judge. Ashley shows a pang of guilt as Sandy approaches the stairs, he turns to remind Ashley that his behaviour isn't very vicar like.

At the B&B Adam comes down stairs to hear Steph happily singing away to herself and putting breakfast on the table, he smiles as she hands him a plate and tells him that she has made him breakfast. Adam tells her that she shouldn't have and she tells him that she should, adding that it's the sort of thing that a dutiful wife should do, she pulls out his chair so that he can sit down. Adam sits at the table and tells her that she should be resting having just got out of hospital and Steph tells him that she is so excited to be home, she places a napkin on his lap and ask him if he is pleased to see her. Adam is awkward but manages to tell her that he is delighted. Steph chuckles and puts ketchup on his food, Adam thanks her but is clearly very uncomfortable. Steph sits at the table in front of him and tells him that she is so lucky, she tells him that when she got carted of to the looney bin she thought they wouldn't get chance to be newly weds. Adam looks horrified as Steph pours him coffee, she continues to say that she thinks that they have a guardian angel and walks around the table to place her arms around his neck, Steph tells Adam that she wants to show her angel how grateful she is so she is never going to leave Adam ever again. Adam is tense at her embrace, Steph knows it and takes enjoyment, she ruffles his hair and walks away leaving Adam wearing a plastic smile.
